Channel Announcement

GUI

The script has timers built in for displaying certain messages to the channel. Be careful these messages have color and will repeat every 10 minutes. Some channels do not allow these. Use these at your own risk. For more information about a particular option click that part of the GUI.

Start - Manual

This option will allow you to start a channel message about how a user can get your list. It will also read the number of songs you have and display that as well. Below is an example of a channel display.

<Berriboo> To get my list of 1205 MP3 songs type Boos-List

This message will be displayed every 10 minutes.

Start - Auto

This option allows you to do the same thing as above, but will do it automatically each time you rejoin a channel after you enable it. This is for those times you split from a channel, or get disconnected from your IP.

Stop - Auto and Manual

Stops both automatic and manual list messages from being sent into channel

Multi-Channel Setup

We have received several requests from users that are in multiple channels at one time and wish to have the normal channel announcements displayed in all channels along with the ability to automatically restart the messages if dropped from a channel. We have now allowed controls for up to 3 channels you can display announcements (List, FTP, @Locator) in. Set the channel names and the message(s) you wish to have displayed. If you select manual and are dropped from a channel you must restart the message(s). If you select Start - Auto and are dropped from a channel, 10 minutes after you have rejoined, the message(s) will start to redisplay in the pre-set channels.

NOTE: If you have channel 2 and/or channel 3 selected in the Multi-Channel Setup, and are not in either of those channel(s), the script will display these announcements multiple times in the main channel. You must disable the other channels if you are not in them.

Set - Channel 2 Name

Allows you to enable or disable announcements to a second channel. Click the gray button, and a dialog box will open allowing you to set a channel name. Once you have entered a channel name, you'll notice it appears in the box.

Set - Channel 3 Name

Same as above, just a third channel can be added

Disable - Multi 2

Disables the second channel choice

Disable - Multi 3

Disables the third channel choice
